Weekend Fun

Munching on cheese puffs

Big-girl car seat, but still facing the rear!

Belleville wedding at the Manor

Miss Payton and I had quite a busy wekend. On Saturday, we attended Tristan's birthday party in Edwardsville. Payton enjoyed the bounce house as much as the older kids. She climbed up the slide and into the play area. She was bounced up and down due to the other kids jumping around her. I have never heard her laugh so hard!

After the party, we headed to Belleville for a wedding reception. Payton wore the party dress that she received as a gift for her birthday. Her green gown matched the bridesmaids' dresses. I really could not have planned that any better. By 7:00PM, she had grown tired so we headed for home.

On Sunday, we went shopping at Lowe's for new landscaping. We spent the entire day planting and mulching. Payton loves watering the flowers with her sunflower watering can!

Bus Update

New flooring

Since the weather has been cooperating with us lately, Ty has been able to get some work done on the bus. The guys were able to take all of the seats out, except the one that has the heater underneath it. After he washed and dried the floor of the bus, Ty started laying the flooring. It seems to all be coming together nicely. The next step is to put 4 of the originals seats back in, and frame up the bench style seating everywhere else.

Toy Time

Driving at 1 year!

Thanks to weather being so nice this weekend, Payton was able to go outside and play with her new toys that she received for her birthday. These pictures show her riding on the Barbie Jeep from Angela and TJ. She's not quite strong enough to push in the button by herself, but she loves riding on it! A little later on, she kicked back in her Jeep stroller for an hour long walk with mommy.

1 Year Check-up

Ty took Payton top to the doctor on April 14th for her one year check-up. She is 29 inches long (average), her head is 17 inches in circumference (average), and she weighs 15 pounds (below average). That's right, our little girl has not even doubled her birth weight! The child is an eating machine, but I am not sure where it all goes. The doctor does not seemed to be concerned about her weight, because she continues to get bigger. The bad news is that we cannot put her in a foreward facing carseat yet. We go back in July for her 15 month check-up.

Welcome Baby!

Lincoln Diesel

Payton and Lincoln

On Monday, Payton and I went to Belleville to meet the newest member of the Bossler family, Lincoln Diesel. Lincoln was born on April 9th. He is absolutely adorable and his mommy and daddy couldn't be prouder. Payton loved looking at Lincoln and touching him, but she was not to happy when mommy held him.

Happy 1st Birthday Payton Anne!

Eating her cake

Trying on her new shades

Payton even had a cupcake dress with matching bow!

It is hard to believe that a year has already flown by. Payton is growing so fast, and her own little personality is shining through each and every day. We are very lucky to be blessed with such a vibrant and loving little girl. We had friends and family over to help us celebrate Payton's special day!

We ate lunch, visited with guests, opened presents, and ate cake...
Suprisingly, Payton needed a little help getting started with her birthday cake. She was very much her mother's daughter, in that, she did not destroy her birthday cake. She picked at it very daintily. We even had to cut her a piece out, because she would not delve into it. Ahh, a messy-free child, just what mommy likes!

Then Payton slept it off...for the rest of the night. What a wonderful celebration!

Cupcakes Galore

Sue made cupcakes with pictures of Payton.

"Smash Cake"

I decided on a cupcake theme for Payton's first birthday. It was absolutely adorable! We celebrated her birthday at Grandma & Grandpa Sitko's house. Our closest friends and family were there to help her celebrate. Above are a few of the decorations that adorned the home.

Always Hungry...

Carefully picking up the cereal pieces.

After feeding Payton lunch on Thursday, I went about cleaning the house. Payton was following me around and helping until she ventured off to do her own thing. As I was sweeping, I heard plastic crumbling and went in the kitchen to investigate. Payton had taken the empty cereal box and dumped its remaining contents on the floor. She proceeded to pick up pieces of Special K and shovel them in her mouth. Needless to say, she was not very happy when the mean 'ole vacuum cleaner came to eat them!

Payton's Pigtails

I didn't think it was possible for Payton to be any cuter, but I think the pigtails do it! Needless to say, she is not smiling when I put them in her hair, but she looks so cute that I cannot resist.
